2024 Lincoln Corsair vs 2023 Lincoln Corsair

The Corsair is the smallest and most affordable SUV that Lincoln makes, and it's also lincoln's most popular model. It's outfitted with premium materials and it offers a comfortable ride in the Lincoln tradition. You can choose from a turbocharged four-cylinder engine or aplug-in hybrid that's available in the Grand Touring trim. The 2023 Corsair has so many strengths that Lincoln has made only modest changes for 2024 so let's compare the two since we have both in stock. Decide which new Lincoln Corsair you want to test drive at Tuttle-Click Lincoln in Irvine, CA.

What's new for 2024?

Lincoln has renamed the base trim the Premiere starting with the 2024 model year. The only other notable change is that models with the Blue Cruise hands-free driving feature now come with a complimentary four-year subscription to cover that service. Previous Corsair model years included this service for only two years.

Powertrains and performance

The entry-level engine in the new Lincoln Corsair is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 250 horsepower and you'll find that under the hood of the Standard and Reserve models. An eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard and so does front-wheel drive while all-wheel drive is an available upgrade. The turbocharged four-cylinder version of the Lincoln Corsair with all-wheel drive can reach 60 mph in 6.1 seconds. Fuel efficiency with this engine is excellent, coming in at up to 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on Anaheim and Mission Viejo highways.

The plug-in hybrid is another powertrain option and it combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and all-wheel drive. It takes about 10 or 11 hours to fully charge the battery with a 110-volt Level 1 charging system and about three to four hours with a 240-volt Level 2 charger. The hybrid model is a little slower than the four-cylinder powertrain, reaching 60 mph in about 7.0 seconds.

Interior

The interior of the new Lincoln Corsair demonstrates Lincoln's distinctive Power of Sanctuary™ theme in admirable fashion. The cabin is replete with upscale amenities like 24-way power-adjustable seats, adjustable ambient lighting and available soft leather upholstery. The Corsair also offers an app that lets you lock, unlock and start the Corsair with your smartphone. You can choose either of two special interior visual and comfort themes as available options. One is Smoked Truffle that gives you warmly-hued upholstery and trims while the Eternal Red alternative gives you bright aluminum trim and red surfaces.

Technology

The Lincoln Corsair for 2024 comes with a standard 13.2-inch touch screen that operates Lincoln SYNC4® infotainment system and it also includes a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Helpful mini-joysticks on the steering wheel let you avoid having to reach for the screen as often and control internal systems more easily. North Tustin buyers will get Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ on every model and you can upgrade to in-dash navigation if you select the entry-level Standard trim. The Reserve model gives you the option of a 10-speaker stereo or a higher-level 14-speaker premium system by Revel.

Safety
