Out in the Puget Sound area, Brett Bishop is keeping Little Skookum Shellfish Growers in its second century of business. Brett represents generation five of his oyster-farming family, and his children will have the opportunity to become generation six.

“My job is to keep the farm in the family," he says in the Lincoln Now article embedded above, "so my children will have the choice of whether or not they want to live here and grow oysters like I did. No one can make that choice for them, but making that an option—that’s why I’m here.” Read the full piece to learn more about Brett and his unique occupation.
