The Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection system, available on Reserve models with the Luxury package, utilizes radar and camera sensors to identify cars and human beings in its path. If a collision is imminent, the system takes emergency action by applying the brakes. In IIHS testing, the 2017 Lincoln Continental was able to come to a full stop in time to avoid a collision from 12 mph and 25 mph.
