The time to prepare for any troubles on the road is while you are still packing for your trip. By taking a proactive approach, you can anticipate some of the common troubles and hopefully get the car to the service station in a timely manner.
Here are a few of those road trip safety tips:
- Check that you have a spare tire and it is adequately inflated for the trip.
- Bring along a few cans of tire fix-a-flat so that you can get moving to a gas station for help.
- Pack a box with some tools that could help in a jam, from a hammer, screwdriver, wrench, and socket set.
- Take along a gallon of antifreeze or engine coolant in case the car overheats on a deserted road.
