If you experience an overheating engine with your vehicle, these might be a few of the causes.
The radiator hoses are responsible for moving coolant back and forth from block to radiator. These hoses can leak, usually when the clamps get rusty and fail. Other times, the rubber in the hoses may have soft spots or bulges, causing the hoses to get weak and burst. Leaking radiator hoses are a simple fix and involve replacing the damaged hose and clamps.
There are some parts that could fail and cause the engine to overheat. If the radiator fan stops working or the water pump fails, the cooling system will not operate effectively. Even a stuck thermostat could be the reason the coolant is getting too hot and causing the issue.
