Powertrains and performance

The standard engine in the new Lincoln Corsair is a 250-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder and it powers the Premiere and Reserve models. An eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard and so does front-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive is an available upgrade. The turbocharged four-cylinder Corsair with all-wheel drive can take you from zero to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds. Fuel economy with this engine is rewarding, giving you up to 29 MPG on Anaheim, CA highways.

The other powertrain choice is a plug-in hybrid and it’s composed of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor and all-wheel drive. The battery takes about 10 or 11 hours to reach a full charge using a basic 110-volt Level 1 charging system and about three to four hours if you install a a 240-volt Level 2 charger in your garage. The hybrid powertrain is a little slower than the four-cylinder engine, getting to 60 mph in around 7.0 seconds.
